About My Clients
Whether you're a chronic people-pleaser, high-achieving perfectionist, socially anxious introvert, gifted and highly sensitive, or a blend of these, it can be a tough path to bear in adulthood. These are the groups of clients I specialize in working with and my clients often give feedback that, with me, they feel deeply seen and understood - in many cases, for the first time. This experience alone is the first crucial step towards experiencing relief, growth, healing, and living a better life.
My Background and Approach
I'd like you to consider you have two lives - the one you are living right now and the one you're about to create! If you notice a clear emotional difference thinking of these two versions, you're probably ready for the transformative experience of depth-oriented therapy. As a clinician, I specialize in guiding my clients on their path toward authentic living using a trauma-informed, person-centered approach. This means we will work together to make sense of your most challenging thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that are constantly getting in the way of you feeling confident in managing your stress, burnout, and anxiety. Once you are at a place of deep understanding of the way your mind and body handle stressors and triggers, etc., we will begin the process of rewriting the unhelpful portions your mind is holding onto and updating them with healthier, more helpful versions so critical to us getting to live peaceful, fulfilling adult lives.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe there's power in embracing who we really are. I value inclusivity and diversity and I acknowledge and affirm the unique perspectives that my clients bring to therapy. I am a laid-back introvert who is excited and energized by my work in psychology and counseling. I am recharged through quiet alone-time as well as deep, meaningful connections with others. I work hard to create a safe space in which my clients feel they can openly share and process their thoughts and feelings without judgment. I give my clients 100% of my authenticity, honesty, focus, and collaboration during our session. It's not rare for me to hear in sessions, "I can't believe I'm telling you this." or "I've never told anyone this before" - but this is what genuine safety and trust with a therapist is like. It is a client finally feeling comfortable disclosing parts of themselves that have historically brought about shame and embarrassment because they now feel safe to process and heal with me.
