About My Clients

You want to live your best life, but something’s in the way. Maybe you want to: find meaning, rediscover your purpose; be rid of anger, abuse, or control; reconnect, heal a relationship, start dating, or find belonging; cope with stress, anxiety, or depression; process grief or loss; overcome shame, confront hard truths; try something new, give up something hard; navigate a new life change; understand yourself more fully... Maybe you’re not really sure! You deserve to live your best life.

My Background and Approach

As an existential humanist, I take a judgment-free, trauma-informed approach to counseling, focusing on the whole person: your mind, body, spirt, and your life experiences. With mindfulness skills and greater self-awareness, we can retake control of our thoughts and behaviors, find compassion for ourselves, and thrive as we strive toward our potential. I currently work at Allies in Change a few times a week, doing batterer intervention therapy for controlling and abusive men and perpetrators of domestic violence. I have an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University and a BA in Professional Writing from Kutztown University.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Everyone is doing their best at any given time. Whatever is going on, whatever happened, you don't have to bear the weight alone. You can learn self-compassion, to love yourself fully, and you deserve that from yourself. Most of our values were given to us, but we can discover what our own values are, what gives each of us meaning and purpose, what is fulfilling. When we know who we really are and start to feel empowered, the sky is the limit. I am an ally of all genders and sexual orientations, and I consider myself a Feminist. I support psychedelics-assisted psychotherapy and research.
