About My Clients
Are you experiencing feelings of loneliness as a result of grief, loss, and/or chronic illness? These experiences are isolating and can bring unexpected and difficult emotions. I can help support you by creating space to better understand your truth without judgment, and process difficult emotions using art therapy or through talk therapy. My approach focuses on healing through radical acceptance and connection to others. I will also offer you direct feedback and coping strategies to help you.
My Background and Approach
I can help you connect with the resiliency in your personal narrative by examining this with compassion and empathy. With both willingness and resiliency, you can live according to your values instead of pain and suffering controlling your perspective. Using creativity and humor throughout the process, we will work together to meet your goals and improve self awareness. Trauma-informed in practice, I welcome folks to therapy seeking to work through a range of issues including depression, trauma, anxiety and major life transitions.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a Queer and Indigenous therapist, I understand the lived experience of an intersectional identity and the systems in place that marginalize the clients I work with. I can facilitate learning self-advocacy and the insight required to navigate the many systems in your life. It is my goal that you will find growth in the areas you are looking for and a deeper understanding of yourself through our work together. If this sounds like an approach you’d connect with, I’d love to talk more about how I can help.
