About My Clients
My clients often tell me how relieving it is to work with a therapist that gets their multicultural experience and because I am bilingual, that I understand their need to switch into Spanish to better express themselves. I enjoy assisting couples to reduce conflict and better see each other in their relationships by building skills to be heard by their partners. If we are not processing conflict reduction, then we are helping regulate mood issues like depression, anxiety or panic attacks.
My Background and Approach
My approach to therapy is built on attachment science, it is trauma-informed, and solutions-focused. I love, love, love working with individuals and couples and have a high success rate with assisting couples to repair their relationships. When their relationships are starting out and they want premarital counseling, I help them create a strong foundation by identifying areas for strengthening. When working with individuals, I assist them identifying root issues, building effective coping skills, and empowering them to overcome life-challenges.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that people are capable of change and that when committed to it, they can achieve lasting good for themselves and their loved ones. Sometimes we come to the end of our abilities and know how. And when we do, know that there really are people out there (like myself) that are passionate about working with those that feel stuck and want to have healthier mental health, relationships and happier lives. I know what it is to feel stuck and fresh out of ideas. I also know what it is like to feel like you literally have no one else to trust in life. The single most helpful person in my own season like this was my therapist who had the training to help me build skills and a plan for lasting change. If you resonate with this, reach out!
