About My Clients
Beginning therapy can often feel like a daunting process. It is a courageous choice that requires vulnerability and curiosity. Great job on taking the first step! I utilize warmth, storytelling, compassion, curiosity, and a holistic lens to create an authentic therapeutic space. I view therapy as a collaborative process in which my role as a therapist is to create a safe, non-judgemental space for you to show up as your full human self, exactly as you are.
My Background and Approach
My therapeutic foundation is attachment-based, guided by social justice principles. I utilize a few different therapeutic approaches such as family systems therapies and mindfulness based practices to draw on the already present insight and resilience you possess to move towards growth and healing. All approaches place importance on connecting with you and allowing for you to feel deeply heard and seen in your experience. I hold a master’s degree in Marriage, Couple, and Family Therapy from Lewis & Clark College. I am currently providing therapy services to individuals, couples, adolescents, and families as a registered Marriage and Family Therapist Associate in the state of Oregon. Major coursework included: Equity in Marriage and Family Therapy, Family Development, Couples Therapy, Child and Adolescent Group Counseling, Child and Adolescent Development, Domestic Violence, Sex Therapy.
