About My Clients
My clients are often people who are perceived as different, LGBTQIA+, neurodivergent folks, or their guardians. People from marginalized groups often suffer from early trauma, ongoing anxiety, depression, out of control substance use, or difficulty forming and maintaining healthy relationships. Healing can not happen in isolation, by reading the right book, or by "toughening up." It is my honor to guide folks on their journey of healing through connection and empowerment.
My Background and Approach
I offer individual therapy and utilize relational neuroscience through a feminist, multiculturally informed, and trauma informed lens. We will work together to find ways to heal from your past, move forward to building secure and fulfilling connections with others, best utilize your strengths, and support you in areas of life you find challenging. I am committed to honoring all that is unique in each person, creating treatment plans that work, providing my full support and dedication to my clients, and finding the most effective ways to lead people to a felt sense of safety.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Life can sometimes feel like one tragedy after the other, or one hard day followed by another hard day. Without compassion and support, we are facing life’s challenges alone which can have a devastating impact on our mental health. For those of us so often excluded from the communities that most supportive services were built to serve, finding help can feel daunting and difficult. I hope I can help to end that search for some of you. My approach with all clients is to focus on their innate ability to heal, honor their diverse identities, and create a collaborative treatment plan that works for them.
