About My Clients
Are you tired of the constant arguments and lack of connectedness in your relationships; frustrated by the long-term impact of experienced trauma; stressed by the fluctuations in your mood and seeking emotional and spiritual healing? Congratulations, on taking the first steps towards reclaiming your peace and joy. I approach therapy from a systemic perspective. My clients are therefore able to work towards well-rounded solutions. I work with clients individually, as couples and as families.
My Background and Approach
At Balm of Gilead Christian Counseling Center, LLC., therapy is approached from a systemic perspective. In addition to being trained in systemic approaches to therapy, I have also received training in Sand Tray Therapy, and Story-Informed Trauma Therapy (Byron Kehler’s Guiding Survivors of Childhood Trauma through Recovery Model). Depending on what model I am using in session, I may act as a coach, teacher, facilitator, directive expert, or collaborator.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My Christian faith is foundational both personally and in my clinical practice. I am willing to integrate prayer and scripture into sessions for those who share my faith. However, I am trained and experienced in providing psychotherapy to people with other beliefs. Take the next step and make an appointment today, your future self will be appreciative.
