About My Clients
I work with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, post traumatic stress, mood disorders, self-esteem, LGBTQ+ issues, grief, and adjustment/life transitions. I celebrate diversity and hope to create a space where each person feels comfortable to show up as they are. If you are someone that feels ready to create goals, explore areas for change, and step outside of your comfort zone at times, I really hope we have the chance to work together soon!
My Background and Approach
I am a believer in the notion of “meeting people where they are” and using this principle to help people navigate challenges in their own way. I believe in a person-centered and humanistic approach that will allow you to supplement your pre-existing strengths, knowledge, and experiences with therapeutic skills and insight as you work toward self-identified goals. I call on my background as a certified yoga teacher to share tools for mindfulness and grounding.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that every person shows up with unique strengths, experiences, and perspectives that should be recognized and celebrated. Humans are genuinely so cool in so many ways! As a yoga teacher, I love finding overlap between my yoga background and my training as a therapist when appropriate. I believe strongly in the importance of mindfulness, breath, and connection with oneself. How these things can be used looks different for everyone, but I love introducing these topics as tools for people to use if/how they choose.
