About My Clients
In my practice, I help adults learn to cope with and overcome various life struggles. I have over 11 years of experience treating trauma, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, substance abuse, and grief, among other conditions, and also concerns of the LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent populations.
My Background and Approach
Always person-centered, I primarily practice an integration of attachment-based therapy (including DARe), Somatic Experiencing®, which is a neuro-scientific, body-based approach to treat trauma and its many side effects, and Gestalt Therapy, which is awareness-based, relational, experiential, and existential. I am also trained to do “Eye of the Needle” work which helps renegotiate and integrate traumatic near-death experiences. Motivational Interviewing, Expressive Arts Therapy, and CBT are also used when appropriate
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My aim is to help you increase self-awareness, understanding, acceptance, and your overall sense of wellness. If you are struggling with personal doubts or questions, relationships, loss, major life transitions, distressing memories or physical symptoms, general dissatisfaction, the responsibilities of your position, or are just seeking a compassionate ear, please consider me for assistance. I understand you may have hesitations or fears in considering therapy, and will gladly address any concerns or questions you may have about the process. Those of all races, ethnicities, genders, sexual identities and preferences, neuro-types, abilities, spiritual or religious affiliations, adult ages, socioeconomic, and citizenship statuses are warmly invited and welcome.
