About My Clients
I provide therapy to a diverse population of adults and work closely with First and Second Generation Hispanic/Latinx Individuals. I work with individuals and couples who are experiencing an array of issues such as: anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, and relationship difficulties. In addition, I work closely with Adult Children of Alcoholics who have been deeply affected by the effects of the disease.
My Background and Approach
Going to therapy can be a difficult choice especially when you know healing is messy and painful. I incorporate talk therapy and quick and effective methods like EMDR into the work. I use an attachment based lens when working with intimacy and relational challenges. I believe the body is wise and resilient and I use body focused methods to tap into what is truly going on within our psyche. We will work together to establish a therapeutic alliance. By building a rapport rooted in trust, safety, and mutual respect, the stage is set for deeper exploration. We will identify and address core issues. I will provide tailored interventions suited to your unique needs and meet you where you are.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Your past doesn't have to define you or prevent you from living. You don't have to "suck it up" anymore. You can break the patterns and create a better life for yourself. If you process the guilt, shame, resentment, sadness, then it doesn't stay. You can truly move on. No longer pretending, you get to enjoy your life as it is instead of reliving the past.
