I am a Certified EMDR Therapist through the EMDR International Association. This means I have met the highest standards of certification by completing additional training in EMDR as well as 20+ hours of professional consultation, clinical practice, and ongoing education which is tailored to specific issues clients face.

I completed a year-long training through the Mindful Awareness Research Center at UCLA and am a Trained Mindfulness Facilitator from the UCLA Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior. I also am a Certified Mindfulness Teacher through the International Mindfulness Teachers Association. Lastly, I've been professionally trained through UCSD to deliver two evidence-based group protocols namely Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction and Mindfulness-Based Relapse Prevention.

I have worked in the field of substance use disorder recovery since 2012. In 2013, I became a Certified Substance Use Disorder Provider through the Matrix Institute. I have years of experience working with individuals and facilitating groups in partial hospitalization programs, intensive outpatient treatment centers, and outpatient programs. I am professionally trained through UCSD in Mindfulness-Based Relapse Prevention for Addictive Behaviors which I apply in groups and with individuals.

I bring a whole-person approach to treating anxiety which includes examining external and internal forces, as well as physical, mental, and emotional factors to change what can be changed. I apply my training in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, Certification in Mindfulness, Positive Neuroplasticity, Self-Compassion, and CBT to help you set healthy external boundaries and achieve internal states of calm. You can't always stop the waves so to speak, but you can learn to surf!

As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, I understand the devastating effects of minority stress, systemic oppression, discrimination, and the like. I have a specialized Masters Degree in LGBTQIA+ Affirmative Psychotherapy from Antioch University Los Angeles. I'm proud to celebrate, honor, and value whatever your sexual orientation and gender identity is and support you in doing the same. I'll help you navigate coming into yourself, overcoming internalized shame, relationship issues, and more.

I'm professionally trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and am a Certified EMDR Therapist. In EMDR you never need to discuss details of your experience however I welcome anything you feel is important to share.
