About My Clients
My goal is to help you learn how to develop ways to change your thinking patterns, find solutions and begin to feel happier. My areas of specialities include: anxiety, depression, postpartum depression, divorce, infidelity, life transitions, grief/loss, cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness and EMDR. I am a certified divorce coach and can help you make informed decisions around your relationships. I also provide support to clients experiencing a cancer diagnosis.
My Background and Approach
You can count on me to provide you straightforward advice, help you develop goals and decide on an action plan for your life. I can challenge you to look at your core belief systems and make connections between your past and present. I am skilled at supporting helping professionals, who are dealing with life challenges and need support of their own. I utilize CBT, EMDR, and mindfulness exercises to help you develop a tool box of different solutions to manage your anxiety, fear, worry and sadness. I enjoy helping clients make connections between their past and present behavior so they not only have tools to help them with their symptoms, but develop an understanding as to where their symptoms developed and gain an awareness as to how it is manifesting in their present lives.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone has difficulties and struggles in their lives. No one is perfect and the idea that everyone else seems to have their life together, only contributes to our anxiety and sadness. It is important for us to normalize life's experiences and develop tools to navigate the ups and downs that life brings. Through my own experiences which include divorce, single parenting and as a cancer survivor, I truly empathize with my client's lives. Therapy is helpful for everyone and it has helped me get through some of the most difficult times in my own life.
