About My Clients
I work with clients on a number of issues including communication skills, conflict resolution, intimacy, boundaries, attachment styles, anxiety, depression, trauma, and more. I specialize in supporting the LGBTQIA+ community. Using a trauma-informed approach, I incorporate modalities like EMDR, CBT, DBT, and person-centered techniques to help clients heal and thrive. I’m deeply passionate about advocating for trans and queer rights and increasing access to gender-affirming care.
My Background and Approach
With a Master’s of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, my practice is centered on trauma-informed care, integrating EMDR, DBT, CBT, IFS (parts work), narrative therapy, and somatic approaches. I like to show up as my most authentic self in the therapy space and encourage my clients to do the same. I provide personalized, compassionate support to help clients heal and grow. As a queer-identified therapist, I’m deeply committed to advocating for the LGBTQIA+ community, especially queer and trans individuals. I work to increase access to gender-affirming care, fight for the rights and visibility of marginalized communities, and ensure mental health care is inclusive, empowering, and responsive to the unique challenges of navigating identity and trauma.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My practice is deeply rooted in supporting the LGBTQIA+ community. Beyond advocating for increased access to gender-affirming care and LGBTQIA+ rights, I prioritize actively connecting with the community and discovering new resources to better serve my clients. I’m also passionate about equity, social justice, and supporting BIPOC and Indigenous communities. Through my involvement with organizations like Inclusive Therapists and the ACLU, I work toward dismantling barriers and amplifying voices that are often marginalized. I believe my ability to use my platform to advocate for change extends far beyond the outcomes of an election; it’s about consistent, everyday efforts to create lasting impact. As a practitioner, my goal is to continuously expand my understanding of different cultures and communities, ensuring I create a safe, inclusive space for healing, while challenging and decolonizing the mental health field.
