About My Clients
People come into counseling for various reasons that can include being a new parent, wanting a divorce, feeling stressed about work, and wanting to understand yourself a little better. There are also times that people come in because they have experienced trauma, abuse, death, anxiety, and depression and that’s okay too. Whatever it is that you’re carrying around, I’ll be there to help you carry it and eventually unload it from your life.
My Background and Approach
My approach to counseling is to build on your strengths and resources and ensure that you feel balanced. But my biggest goal in counseling is making sure that you feel as comfortable as you can because after all, you have to make sure you “click” with your counselor. So, I’ll tell you a little bit more about myself so you can make that decision for yourself. I have experience working with Spanish speaking clients, victims of crime, immigrants, bereavement, PTSD, and domestic violence. I’ve worked in school and college settings, detention facilities, community clinics, and private practice. Most commonly, I have worked with clients battling anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, stress, and various forms of traumas.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that we all have the power to change the direction of our lives no matter in what state you might find yourself. Those who come to counseling show a strength in tackling their biggest obstacles. However, counseling doesn't always have to be about the bad and the ugly, sometimes the wonderful changes in someone's life are also hard to adapt to and counseling can also help with that.
