About My Clients
I typically work with clients who are interested in understanding the root of their struggles rather than simply managing their symptoms. After training in a variety of different geographic locations, I have extensive experience working with clients from a variety of international and multicultural backgrounds. I also see clients who have different sexual orientations, gender identities, and sexual practices (kink).
My Background and Approach
I'm commited to establishing a safe, collaborative, and warm working relationship with each client or couple. Research tells us that the quality of the therapeutic relationship is the number one predictor of therapy success. I also have extensive training in looking beyond symptoms and figuring out the root of clients' struggles. By interweaving past and present, clients gain insight, self-compassion, and access to more ways of interacting with themselves and others. Additionally, I have specialized training in trauma-informed therapy which integrates emotional-regulation based techniques with compassion, empathy, and insight.
