About My Clients
I want to be a helper for women navigating through the complicated times life brings. I aim to bring warmth and humor with a judgment-free space for each individual to breathe and do the hard work of the healing and growing process. I love working with parents who are traversing the rocky path of parenting a child, teen or adult child with mental illness. I also specialize in working with women that have endured trauma and family dysfunction.
My Background and Approach
I have experience in adolescent and family crisis intervention through working in higher levels of psychiatric care, as well as training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and trauma treatment. I utilize DBT, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy to meet each client where they are in their journeys. I like to use education to help give some brain-based context to why the brain and body react to stressors, trauma and emotions. I am also certified in EMDR.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I firmly believe in treating holistically and collaboratively as a team with each client. I hope to provide a warm and safe space for each person to come as they are and begin the steps to work their way forward. Or backward. Or side-to-side. Whatever the direction, our aim is to walk alongside and blaze a trail together.
