About My Clients
I work with adults from all backgrounds. I work best with those who are those who come to therapy with curiosity to learn about themselves, and those who are willing to try new ways of thinking about things. Those who get the most benefit understand that the true change happens over time and are willing to invest the effort. I frequently work with clients with anxiety, depression, self esteem / self love issues, relationship issues, and those dealing with trauma of various types.
My Background and Approach
With 10 years experience I provide tools that are proven to work and guides clients in consistently using them, because consistency is key to mental and emotional wellness. I also educate clients about how strategies work and why they work, not just blindly give them strategies to use. When clients understand, they are more likely to be invested in the process. Approaches include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person Centered Therapy, and Solution Focused Inventions. Put plainly, I help clients to shift thinking patterns, and provide a safe space to listen and explore without judgement. Many of my clients report that they feel safe and heard in our sessions. IN sessions we will work on treating depression, anxiety, improving self esteem, relationships, and healing trauma through deeper exploration of the underlying issues. Clients report feeling like they have not only been heard, but they recognize progress toward emotional and mental wellness because they FEEL better.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that clients benefit more when they understand why and how coping strategies work, so I educate them on how we tick as humans. I also believe that therapy is about willingness to invest time and effort in the process, those who invest over time get the biggest wins. I believe that it is important that everyone have access to therapy, and work diligently to make sure I do all I can to provide services to those that want them.
