I have worked with clients experiencing anger, anxiety, OCD, inter-partner violence, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. I embrace and value diversity in clients and I demonstrate this through a trauma-informed, intersectional, and systems-based lens. I am passionate about assisting all communities and have a vast experience working with BIPOC folx and the LGBTQIA+ community in particular.
My Background and Approach
I'm dedicated to providing a safe space where individuals can explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences. With over seven years of experience across clinical and community-based environments, along with teaching roles at Roosevelt University and in the training department at Thresholds, I bring a wealth of expertise to my practice. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and mindfulness techniques. I tailor my approach to each client's unique narrative and objectives, ensuring a personalized and effective therapeutic journey.

Drawing from my own experiences as a Latina, I deeply understand the significance of representation in therapy. It's not only valuable for therapists to possess professional expertise but also comforting when they can relate to and comprehend the cultural nuances that arise in therapy. With extensive experience serving BIPOC individuals and the LGBTQIA+ community, I am committed to celebrating each person's identity and supporting them in finding hope and purpose through therapy. Utilizing a collaborative and strengths-based approach, I empower clients to navigate challenges and pursue the life they envision.
