About My Clients
Pain is part of being human. We are navigating difficult relationships, struggling to manage heavy emotions, adjusting to unexpected life circumstances, battling the constant weight of the world - the list goes on! But there is also joy, hope, genuine self-acceptance, and healing. Everyone is deserving of these things and it is my goal to help my clients find them. I want to help you connect deeply with yourself and those around you.
My Background and Approach
I obtained my Masters from Chapman University in 2019. I have experience with a wide range of populations including individual adults, adolescents, caretakers, individuals with chronic illness, parent-child relationships, families, and children. I have a year of experience with play therapy and also have experience in school counseling. I am flexible and extremely collaborative when it comes to meeting client needs. What I want most for my clients is what they want for themselves! I will follow where you lead and point out some important things I notice along the way. When I do guide, it is to initiate and mediate difficult, healing conversations within and between people. I hold hope and optimism for those that can’t find it in themselves and I believe in everyone’s capacity for growth and change.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that one of the most precious things a person can do for another is to listen with the intent to deeply understand. It is my joy and passion to provide a safe space for my clients to process, heal, or simply “be” if that is where they are. It is not my job to judge your life or circumstances, but rather to meet you where you are and help you find the path to where you want to be. I am an LGBTQIA+ ally and I am working very hard on my own education in culturally responsive care. I welcome clients of all backgrounds, beliefs, orientations, races, and genders. I am here to be an accurate mirror for you. Therapy is the beautiful space in which we honor our pain and gently move ourselves towards healing. We find our genuine selves and experience the deep joy that comes with that! I have been a witness to so much of that joy in the adults, teens, and children I have had the privilege of working with in the past. I look forward to the honor of working with you as well!
