About My Clients
I work with clients who are at a point in their life where confusion may be high and hope may be fleeting. If you are a human being coming up against a version of yourself, an experience, a profound loss, or a stage in life that has caught you off guard, you are my ideal client. I'm here to walk with you as you tend to your grief, feel your joy, fail gracefully, fail with no grace at all, try again (and again), dance with impermanence, face rejection, let your heart break, and rediscover purpose
My Background and Approach
I take an eclectic and existential strengths-based approach, incorporating principles from Positive Psychology, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Family Systems Theory, EMDR, Motivational Interviewing, and Spiritually Integrated Psychotherapy (SIP) in roles spanning crisis intervention, community mental health, palliative care, and bereavement counseling.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
One of my guiding beliefs is the truth that we, as human beings, have a fundamental need for connection. Connection is fostered when we are seen and heard, when we see and hear others, AND in knowing where one ends and the other begins. As mentioned, I take a strengths-based approach with a sincere belief we should be leading with those strengths when working together. Personality disorders? Brilliant ways we’ve learned to navigate this world. Neurodivergence? An evolved way of thinking and being. Anxiety and depression? Totally appropriate responses to the world we live in. In a world that’s riddled with despair, I’m a firm believer in the power of small, intentional steps to restore connection to ourselves, eachother, and beyond. We can’t change the despair part, but we can change the alone part. (I stole that)
