Brainspotting is a body-based modality for healing trauma and regulating the nervous system. Brainspotting locates points in a client’s visual field that help access unprocessed trauma in the subcortical brain. The subcortical brain is the most primitive part of the brain and what lights up on a brain scan when the body detects a threat and goes into a stress response of fight, flight, freeze, or fawn. Brainspotting helps you experience prfound healing on a neurobiological level.

Narrative Therapy believes that as people grow and develop throughout life, they accumulate life experiences that shape a narrative around their identity, worth, and value. There are helpful narratives we can embrace about ourselves and unhelpful narratives. Narrative Therapy believes that we construct meaning around these narratives and aims to empower people to explore alternative and more adaptive life narratives.

As a Certified Trauma Professional, I'm here to help and I understand how trauma can lead to various distressing symptoms such as flashbacks, nightmares, hypervigilance, and difficulty with forming and maintaining relationships. Trauma therapy can provide a supportive space for you to process your traumatic experience(s) in a safe and organized way. Processing distressing traumatic events can be done through Brainspotting, EMDR, and Somatic Experiencing therapy techniques with me

EMDR is one of the top evidence-based modalities for helping people reprocess traumatic memories and distressing events. EMDR aims to reduce the emotional charge associated with distressing memories through desensitization and cognitive restructuring. Profound emotional healing can occur when the root issues are addressed in both the mind and the body. EMDR incorporates a holistic view of healing as distressing thoughts, emotions, and body sensations are all addressed through reprocessing.
