About My Clients
Are you having a hard time managing stress and meeting your goals as a student, worker, therapist, or parent? Do you feel lost, numb, unfulfilled, exhausted, or disconnected? Are past abusive or unhealthy relationships affecting your self-esteem, ability to set boundaries, or your physical health? Or maybe you just feel stuck and you know something must change, but you need support figuring out where to start.
My Background and Approach
I have over a decade of professional experience helping people recover from or learn new ways to manage trauma, dissociation, mood disorders (such as depression or anxiety), stress, and meaning of life, identity, or spiritual issues. I primarily provide Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, which is an evidence-based alternative to traditional talk therapy for trauma, and depth psychotherapy. I also integrate other evidence-based therapeutic approaches, like Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills training, as needed.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
One of the reasons I became a therapist is because of my own recovery, which has allowed me to find joy and a sense of meaning and purpose in life. When I’m not parenting my two children or working, I am either reading, walking around outside, writing, or thinking about writing. I make an effort to do something that brings me joy every day- even if it’s just by searching the night sky for the moon or talking to a friend on the phone.
