About My Clients

I welcome preteens, teens, and adults of all sexual orientations, gender identities, ethnic, religious, immigrant, and socio-economic backgrounds. The goals of therapy are honorable- to improve our relationships (with ourselves and with others), to decrease symptoms and heal pain, and to flourish more, finding more fulfillment in our lives. Our resilience can be supported by connecting to community. I hope to have the honor of being by your side through whatever is occurring for you right now.

My Background and Approach

Therapy can be a rewarding and compelling endeavor, where we build insight into ourselves- our habits and patterns- and make desirable changes. I will be there, with compassion and curiosity, helping uncover how deeper memories, beliefs, and feelings shape your current relationship dynamics, ways of moving through life, and perceptions of the world. Often, we need help in this area, as this material is unconscious and creates general suffering that we can struggle to recognize and break through on our own. We will stay with feelings as they arise, and learn to be in the present moment with accompanying physical sensations. Along the way, we will identify coping skills that have formed that are no longer needed, and shore up your strengths and skills for resolving grief and managing stress in the present. Together, we can work towards healing past trauma, or address current stressors and maladaptive behaviors, and help you move forward into the life you envision.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Therapy has been a profound and important part of my own life, as has been providing quality support to others. I believe, and have experienced, that a great therapeutic match can be healing and life changing. I currently split my time between working in private practice, supervising at The Women's Therapy Center (a non-profit mental health agency in Berkeley that provides therapy to women, adolescents, gender non-conforming and transgender people, the LGBTQIA community, and couples), and working at WestCoast Children's Clinic (a community non-profit mental health agency serving children with extensive trauma histories, in the Greater Bay Area). I am passionate about this work and being of service!
