About My Clients
Seeking counseling is an important decision. I want your counseling experience to be something that helps you live a more authentic, balanced life, with more resolution and more connection. I am committed to creating a safe, compassionate, non-judgmental space for you to find clarity, healing and empowerment. I help people who live with ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma, and low self-esteem learn coping strategies and life skills to build their self-awareness, fulfillment, and resilience.
How I Can Help You
I take a very active, hands-on approach in our sessions. This isn’t about you doing all the talking or spending the whole time reflecting on what did or didn’t happen over the past week. Instead, we’ll engage in interactive conversations. We set clear, meaningful goals and track our progress together. I like to feel like we’re always building something. I also provide psych-education, because research shows that people thrive when they have a deep understanding of what they’re working through. I offer skills training to help you develop practical tools, and I use homework as a tool to take what was gained in session, into your real life. Some sessions might feel more like support and encouragement, others will resemble traditional psychotherapy, and sometimes, it will feel more like an interactive workshop.
My Values as a Therapist
While your therapy will be tailored to meet your unique needs, I am deeply committed to the science behind what we do. I integrate CBT with other evidence-based interventions drawn from established research. My approach incorporates Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), EMDR, Motivational Interviewing and targeted skills training to support growth and lasting change. I hold an advanced certification, the Certified Clinical Trauma Professional-II (CCTP-II), and am EMDR trained for trauma. I am an ADHD Certified Clinical Services Provider (ADHD-CCSP), a Certified Dialectic Behavior Therapist (C-DBT), and I am trained in Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality (CAMS), for suicide prevention. I understand how important it is to keep my knowledge base and skills current with ongoing training. I have a special interest in building healthy relationships, treating ADHD, anxiety, and working with people from gender non-conforming communities
