About My Clients

Are you struggling with low self-worth, relational/family issues, or trouble reconciling with the past? Do you find yourself overcome with self-doubt, overthinking often, or without motivation? I can help you learn how to better manage your emotions, understand your mental health, and improve your ability to function in your day to day life. I see clients ranging in age from adolescence to adulthood, with many dealing with issues related to family, dating, and intimacy.

My Background and Approach

My treatment approach is person-centered, and rooted in evidence-based and trauma-informed care, utilizing elements of cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused, and trauma-informed methodologies. I am mindful of how cultural identity shapes my role as a clinician. I focus on how both your experiences and the systems you interact with shape your mental health. I am inspired by the protective aspects of one’s emotional responses, and the resilience and strength everyone is capable of possessing. I want that same inspiration to translate to your treatment. I believe you can come to see your mental health experiences as manageable and a source of resilience. I believe that psychotherapy that is tailored to your needs and personal experiences can have an incredible impact on your sense of well-being. I have five years of experience working as a psychotherapist, with clients of all ages, but primarily work with new and young adults (18-40) and adolescents.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that everyone is capable of making space for their emotions, and can learn to ride the waves of anxiety, grief, stress, depression, anger, and so much more. I believe our mental health is shaped and affected by the experiences we have and the attachments we make throughout our lives, and recognizing how we relate to the world can be the first step to making positive changes to our mental health. I identify as a queer, white, cis-gendered woman, who has dealt with chronic illness, and support dismantling the systems of oppression that try to keep down many. I acknowledge my privilege and recognize my intersectional identities affect how I practice. I strive to be open and anti-racist, and support the LGBTQIA+, trans, and poly communities. I respect body autonomy as well. I respect my clients as the experts on their lives and lived experiences. If you want to learn more about how I can help, please reach out via phone, text, or email or book directly on my site.
