About My Clients
I am passionate about serving individuals, couples, and families facing a major medical or psychological diagnosis. My clients include parents struggling to adjust to a diagnosis of their child, those facing chronic or terminal illnesses, and people feeling overwhelmed by adjusting to their new normal. I am experienced working with those experiencing the impacts of sexual trauma, domestic violence, grief, and divorce.
My Background and Approach
I have years of experience working with children, adults, and families facing chronic and/or life-limiting illnesses. I started my therapy career supporting families facing a pediatric brain tumor diagnosis through The Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation. My goal is to tailor therapy to your specific personalty and circumstances in a "client-directed" approach, drawing on a variety of therapy styles to find what works best for you. My style is directive and caring, infusing humor throughout therapy. I am certified in Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD with a focus on sexual assault and domestic abuse.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in a collaborative therapeutic relationship, one that build trust and openness. My clients are the experts in their own lives; I am here to support and respond with what will work best for you to reach your goals.
