About My Clients
Successful professionals need to evaluate work-life balance, personal and professional goals, and questions of meaning. After an affair, people struggle with anger and a sense of betrayal, on the one hand, and guilt and shame on the other. Men are increasingly aware of roles and expectations that limit their ability to be emotionally healthy. If any of these issues sound familiar, welcome. My Background and Approach
I bring a compassionate approach to my practice, with a deep understanding of the importance of the connection between therapist and client. My personal experiences with marriage, divorce, raising children, and career changes provide me with a unique perspective that will help me truly understand your situation. My educational background includes a Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and extensive post-graduate training at the Family Therapy Training Institute of Milwaukee. In addition, I hold a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Notre Dame. My work experience includes over a decade of clinical practice and two decades as a business executive.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am guided by Evelyn Waugh's observation that "to understand all is to forgive all," and I strive to be both understanding and forgiving. I believe in the 12 Step maxim to live and let live in human relationships. I embrace the Course In Miracles and its message that we are simultaneously teachers and pupils in a universal curriculum that has many versions but one goal: To remove the blocks to the awareness of love. We all are finding our own path and need grace from one another. I hope that I can help you experience the love and healing that you want and need in your life.
