About My Clients
My practice is solely dedicated to working with women, birthing individuals and children. As a Registered Play Therapist, I utilize various forms of play therapy to help children prevent or resolve a variety of psychosocial difficulties and behavioral concerns. As a Certified Perinatal Mental Health Professional, I provide clinical support to individuals throughout the perinatal period from preconception through the first year post delivery and on through the first years of parenthood.
My Background and Approach
Therapy is a safe space to process any given concern or stressor that might be causing dysregulation in your life. A personalized and prescriptive therapeutic approach is utilized with each client to prevent or resolve psychosocial stressors and access optimal growth. In therapy, you will gain insight into how thoughts and feelings are connected, how to dispute unhelpful thought patterns and cope with painful emotions. Throughout our work, we will closely monitor your progress and adjust treatment as needed to ensure you are meeting your treatment goals. Duration of services can be short term or ongoing.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
In therapy, I focus on improving the capacity for individuals and families to address their own needs and access their own innate ability to heal by establishing a strong working relationship, identifying client strengths, integrating a variety of theoretical viewpoints and applying evidence based interventions. As a clinical social worker, I offer a non-judgmental, trauma-informed, and culturally sensitive perspective to enhance each client’s functioning. My expertise in infertility, maternal mental health and helping families with children who have chronic illness and/or disability stems from a unique combination of both personal and professional experience.
