My Personal Beliefs and Interests
It is very important to create a safe place for all people who want to enter therapy. To make this possible, I believe strongly in the need for therapists to continuously engage in education on issues affecting gender, racial, and sexual minorities. I'm committed to ongoing education, peer consultation, and fostering cultural humility. I also do not expect my clients to always fit into gender, cultural, sexual, or racial norms, and I want to know about their own experiences, perspectives, values, and interpretations to better tailor my approach to best serve my clients in their own cultural context. In my practice, I serve a diverse clientele, with a large majority being BIPOC individuals and individuals from sexual minority groups. I am a body-positive, sex-positive, LGBTQIA+ affirming, polyamory, and consensual non-monogamy-friendly/knowledgable, and kink-informed therapist.
