About My Clients
I work with clients who share a common desire: to break free from the grip of perfectionism & control, and to start living in alignment with their true values and goals. Many of my clients are women who are either undiagnosed or newly diagnosed with Autism, ADHD, or AuDHD, and they're ready to embrace their authentic selves. In our sessions, my clients enjoy a blend of humor & compassion, creating a space where they feel understood and supported on their journey towards acceptance & fulfillment.
My Background and Approach
Certainly! Here’s a more inviting and friendly restatement: --- I've been passionate about supporting people in their mental health journeys since 2004, starting my career in a behavioral health inpatient hospital working with adults. Over the years, I've found my calling in helping clients recover from eating disorders, supporting pregnant and postpartum parents, working through trauma, explore their autism and guiding couples. I've pursued specialized training to ensure I can meet my clients' unique needs, including Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, EMDR, Brainspotting, and Gottman's Couples Therapy (Level 2). I'm also well-versed in Mindful Self-Compassion Therapy, as well as various approaches to eating disorders, body image, perinatal mental health, trauma, and support for autistic & ADHD adults and parents. I blend these approaches with intuitive and energy healing practices to provide holistic care tailored to your goals.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a mom to autistic and ADHD girls, and as someone who is AuDHD myself, I understand the unique challenges of neurodivergence, both personally and professionally. My passion is helping women, particularly those who are neurodivergent, feel understood and empowered to live authentically. Every woman deserves to be seen, heard, and valued for who she truly is. I am committed to supporting women in bigger bodies through a body-neutral approach, aligned with Health at Every Size (HAES) principles. My goal is to create a space where you can let go of societal pressures & embrace your body with compassion. As a pro-choice perinatal therapist, I support all women, including those experiencing complex emotions around abortion. I aim to help you navigate these experiences with kindness and self-compassion, honoring your feelings and choices. For mothers balancing demanding professional lives, I understand the pressure to be perfect. My approach focuses on empowering balance & acceptance.
