My Background and Approach
Our therapists utilize neuroscience-informed strategies such as Interpersonal Neurobiology (IPNB), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). These practical, research-backed approaches facilitate meaningful change. However, therapy is more than just science... It's also an art. My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Many of the issues we struggle with today can be traced back to how we were raised. We often cling persistently to the past, where our earliest relationships with our parents and caregivers created templates for future relationships. These templates can be filled with distorted beliefs and expectations of ourselves and others that leave us stuck in patterns that don't work. Therapy can help undo the effects of these earlier damaging interactions -by recognizing such patterns when they become enacted, identifying the ramifications of old patterns, and practicing new ways of relating to ourselves and others.
