Life is full of challenges and obstacles. Sometimes they leave us with pieces to put back together, worries about the future, scattered thoughts, and broken dreams. The journey can feel like standing at the bottom looking up at a mountain before you. Healing is a lot of work, but the view from higher up the way is worth every step. I'm here to travel with you--challenging, cheering, and celebrating you on along the way. You got this!
My Background and Approach
I'm a modern minded therapist always learning the latest in the sciences available. However, I love the art of therapy even more and strive to create a tailored approach unique to you. I am currently in the Integrative Psychiatry Institute's 2021 cohort for psychedelic assisted therapy, recently trained in EMDR as well as special topics for creatives, nerds, geeks, & gamers. I view therapy as a sacred space and protected process. Together we create a place where you can explore experiences known only to you. Here you can conquer your critic, reprogram negative thoughts, and build new habits. Therapy is about honoring the magic of your unique self and. discovering the talents, and abilities that lie within you. Explore the depths of your emotions, channel the mind/body connection, and manifest your dreams. The journey from surviving to thriving is worth every step.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Though I love the therapist hat, I am a social worker throughout. I am a social justice advocate and BIPOC ally. I believe the broken systems we deal with have a great impact on our mental health. I am part of the LGBTQ+ community, sex positive and love working with non-monogamous, poly, and kinky folx. My interests overlap my love for therapy. I'm an avid plant lover and much like my work, I love to witness growth. I'm a baby yogi and believe that movement is medicine. I love gaming and know that we too can level up our lives. I'm currently pursuing certification in psychedelic assisted therapy and believe in decolonizing the work, honoring ancestors, and honoring plant medicines. I'm down to earth, keep things real, and can use some colorful language (if that's your preference.) I hope we chance to connect. Please reach out.
