About My Clients
I provide individual counseling to those experiencing a mood disorder, anxiety, trauma, suicidal ideations, grief and other concerns. I work with client's battling with their mental health, family concerns, stress, relationships, self-esteem and those experiencing a life transition. I have experience working in crisis situations, as well as, inpatient and outpatient facilities. I work with adults (18+) and I am willing to provide a free consultation prior to the initial visit.
My Background and Approach
I have learned that not every approach will work for every client. I have taken an eclectic approach to counseling in order to best fit the needs of my clients. I use structured, evidence based models but also utilize techniques from other models. I have used CBT, DBT, Solution Focused, Mindfulness and client-centered to name a few.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I've had a vision to encourage, motivate and provide access to tools needed to overcome your current circumstances. So, on March 7, 2018 I established Ramir's Counseling Center of Hope, PLLC. As a child, mental health was present in my family and thus prepared me for the dynamics of not only the diagnosis but more importantly the person and those that surround them. Everyone played a part and everyone was treated the same regardless of their mental status, pill count, change in mood, IQ, anxiety level or temporary isolation that would occur. My goal as Therapist is to provide an environment that reciprocates what my family and community offered. There is no special formula that can erase your situation but there is a way to get through it.
