About My Clients
Nat is dedicated to serving adults who feel othered or isolated in their lives and supporting self acceptance, connection, and community. She specializes in working with trauma, mood disorders, body image issues, addiction, chronic illness, sex therapy, and OCD. She is allied with the LGBTQIA+ community, Body Positivity movement, sex workers, and polyamorous/open relationships.
My Background and Approach
Nat Day, LICSW and graduated from Boise State University with a Masters in Social Work in 2018. Over the last decade she has worked in a variety of settings: residential treatment, on-campus college counseling, substance abuse treatment, inpatient psychiatric care, and community mental health. Nat has earned a certification in treating trauma (Certified Clinical Trauma Professional Level II), 20+ hours of training from the Be Body Positive Institute, sex and couples counseling, and training in polyvagal theory and somatic approaches. She is currently enrolled in a certification program through the Center for Positive Sexuality. Specializing in the treatment of trauma, addictions, and sexuality (with special focus on kink/BDSM/sex work), her approach to therapy is eclectic, drawing on a variety of evidenced based practices, including DBT, CBT, attachment therapy, relationship trauma, existential therapy, harm reduction, and body image issues.
