About My Clients
Are you an immigrant or a first-generation American navigating the intricate intersection of culture, religion, and identity? I am a first generation Muslim American. Albanian is my first language, and I am happy to work with clients in Albanian. English is my second language. I have tackled my own issues around identity with religion and the western world, and continue to do so as I navigate my own intersectionality.
My Background and Approach
I specialize in working with immigrants and first-generation Americans and am passionate about helping individuals like you flourish in your journey towards self-discovery. I have experiences that help me understand that the intersectionality of culture and religion can come with strengths and uncertainty. Through compassion, understanding, and building trust, I can help guide you through the unique challenges and joys of this experience. Creating a safe space where your identity and background are acknowledged and respected while giving you the space to explore who you are and who you want to be.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am passionate about working with clients in all of their intersecting identities. I have been a lifelong advocate for people with marginalized identities. I identify as a feminist, liberal, anti-racist, and neurodivergent-affirming. I acknowledge the systems of oppression in society that affect my clients deeply, such as capitalism, racism, patriarchy, and social binaries. I am culturally humble as I approach each client, exploring their own complex identity.
