About My Clients
Are you a parent who feels at a loss for how to help their child? I offer emotional regulation skills for the child, and effective parenting skills for the parent. Are you ethically non-monogamous? Do you need extra support navigating polyamory? I offer years of experience and knowledge to help you navigate this relationship dynamic. Are you in the LGBTQIA+ community and struggling with issues of self-worth or internalized oppression? I strive to help you discover your values and love yourself.
My Background and Approach
I have spent most of my adult life working with children who have experienced trauma or neglect. Working with this population led me to find creative approaches for helping challenging children. I have done a lot of work with classroom management and helping children who struggle to stay focused at school. Using play and a brain-based approach, I can help parents and children work together to overcome challenges. My background in ethical non-monogamy and couple's therapy has helped me to create a system of helping people who want to expand their relationships into something that is more fulfilling. I work with couples and polycules to work through hard feelings, bring you back to feeling secure in your connection, and work on dismantling the socialization of monogamy. I help people figure out what their needs and wants are so that they can effectively communicate them and have the unique and fulfilling relationships that they want.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone has the capacity to heal, change, and grow. I have a strong belief in the power of community and I think that we all need a variety of people and perspectives in our lives. I am very aware of the systemic oppression in this country and around the world and I work on dismantling those systems through activism and community change. I am trying to make the world a better place a little bit at a time. I am a member of the LGBTQIA+ community and I am active in marches and community actions. Through my own therapy, I have overcome religious and sexual trauma, panic attacks, anxiety, and depression. I think that healing is a life-long journey, but I have the tools to get me where I need to go, and I can help you as well. Please message me if you want to learn more about how I can help!
