About My Clients
My clients are usually part of the LGBTQ+ community or have questions about if they might identify in the community. I help people both explore identity, as well as work on specific aspects of their lives that may relate to gender and sexuality. I specialize in Gender-Affirmative-Therapy and am a certified GEI SOC 7 member of the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH), using the Standards of Care Version 7 to individually tailor therapeutic interventions.
My Background and Approach
I am both a Social Worker and a Psychologist in California. Training as a social worker and in psychology allows me to have a deeper understanding of a person in their environment and who they are in context to families and systems they engage with, as well as the individual development that may have influenced where they have arrived. I have worked in community mental health, correctional facilities such as prisons and jails, and enjoy working with people in private practice working to better their life in some way. I strongly believe that we all have strengths that sometimes we discount or go untapped when we are in dark places. It is my pleasure to work with people to uncover those strengths, harness them, and utilize them to live rich, fulfilling lives.
