About My Clients
I serve a diverse population of clients, including men, women, children, couples, and families. My clients are self-motivated and ready to go on a therapeutic journey of self-discovery and acceptance. We are all on a path towards becoming our best selves--I am eager to be a guide to any client who is searching for themselves. We all struggle to become fully individuated and expressed; anxiety, depression, and other mental health struggles are hurdles on this path. Let's get through it together.
My Background and Approach
I gained my MA in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University in 2018. Since then, I have worked primarily in Narrative Humanism, providing a therapeutic environment of unconditional positive regard. People are not their problems, and in my approach I help clients re-narrate their personal story from a place of curiosity and empowerment. I come from an arts background, and believe that therapy is a collaborative environment in which art and science blend together to help the client achieve catharsis. We are all on our own hero's journey, with its own pitfalls and hurdles, its triumphs and disappointments. I aid my clients in living their lives the way they want, making them the expert in the room at all times. I believe in a post-modern approach to therapy, in which meaning is made and explored in each session. "If we're going to heal, let it be glorious." --Beyonce
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in the power of warmth and safety in the therapeutic experience. I feel that therapy best serves a client when they feel complete safety in the work. Therapy is a place of curious and kind exploration. You can expect to laugh in therapy! I believe it is of the utmost importance to feel that your therapist is a human being who relates to you and who can provide unconditional positive regard. I prioritize this warmth and rapport in my bespoke approach to each client. I love the arts, and previously worked as an actor and musician. My favorite moments of artistry were cathartic connections between performer and audience. I bring this artistry and collaborative nature to my therapeutic work.
