About My Clients
You are only human. You may be seeking deeper connections with others or with your inner self, and seeking recovery from addiction, anxiety, depression or trauma. You could be facing a new and unfamiliar change to your or a loved one's health. You might be grieving a loss. These issues often block us from feeling confident or thinking clearly. And these challenges can become another difficult obstacle in our close relationships.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who helps individuals, families, and relationships through solution-focused and strengths based approaches. Before becoming a therapist, I worked for the San Francisco Dept. of Public Health as a peer specialist and WRAP (Wellness Recovery Action Plan) facilitator to engage underserved youth, adults, and elders. I also have unique experiences treating youth at risk of psychosis, individuals with vision loss or blindness, and pregnant or parenting women struggling with substance abuse and addiction. I continue to help educate and build hope with my clients as they navigate changing roles in relationships, families, or careers.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I dedicate a large portion of my practice to serving children of immigrants, Filipinx/o/a-Americans, healthcare professionals, dissociative experiences and complex trauma, sleep disorders, and Gender/Sexuality/Relationship Diverse communities. Family adjustment to chronic illness and addiction recovery is also important to my practice. Many, though not all, of my clinical interests are a result of lived experience.
