I am passionate about helping my clients to face and overcome their anxieties, gain confidence, self understanding, identify and follow their dreams, and to Find Balance in their lives.
My Background and Approach
I strongly believe in the importance of the therapeutic relationship, in creating a safe and non-judgmental space, and in meeting you where you are. In terms of a specific theory or theoretical orientation, I approach therapy grounded in a humanistic-existential and psychodynamic way. I will tailor my specific approach based on your needs and implement various aspects of CBT, Mindfulness, Emotion Focused Therapy, and eastern/western spirituality as needed to support your healing and growth and goals.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Recently, I rescued a black lab from Best Friends animal shelter. As someone who grew up experiencing quite a bit of anxiety, it has been such a powerful opportunity to work with this anxious dog each and every day. When I see him start to trust me more, start to feel safer and less afraid, it truly warms my heart and reminds me that there is so much work to be done for so many others (people and animals) who need help learning to feel safe in their own bodies. I am also a member of a Christian community that feels strongly about inclusion for all. As a person of faith, I feel strongly about the inclusion of all individuals into active membership and acceptance no matter the difference.
