Why does rest feel shameful at times? You know what it feels to be consumed with the pressure to make the right choices. You’re a busy guy, and you want to perform well at work and truly look after the people you care about. You want to slow down, and often wonder how other people do all of this. You could use some help in managing these burdensome emotions getting in your way. Together, we can stand at a safe position while we pinpoint and address what’s holding you back from your desired life.

Many queer individuals haven't had the privilege of enjoying a life of acceptance. Instead, many have endured a toxic self-shame from a young age. A therapist who really understands you, your culture and your experience is a must. Explaining your fear of making the right choice over and over again with someone that doesn’t get it can be frustrating. If you’re trying to process and live your life, who’s got the time to explain the difference between a twink and a bear?

There’s that little voice in the back of your mind that doesn’t shut up. It tells you that you could have done better, worked harder, or gotten further along. Sometimes you feel like you have become your own obstacle and this state of paralysis is not getting you anywhere. In our work together, we will turn down the volume of that harsh inner critic and turn up an encouraging voice instead. We’ll listen to that inner voice that tells you you are capable to overcome your obstacles.

By committing to a deep exploration of your story, you will acquire the skills to identify and expose harmful identity messages playing on repeat in your unconscious. You will learn how to replace destructive self-beliefs with empowering truths of your strength, empowering your decision-making in peace and confidence.
