About My Clients
I work with clients aged 16+ for individual, couple or family therapy. Presenting issues include relational distress, anxiety, depression, work stress, self-esteem issues, life transitions, infidelity, divorce, grief and loss among others.
My Background and Approach
I primarily use an attachment-based focus, specifically Emotionally Focused Therapy, in which I have had extensive training. However, I also take a person-centered approach, so therapy with me will always be tailored and adapted to the needs of the individual. I incorporate parts of other treatment modalities such as CBT, Solution-Focused or Narrative therapy when needed. It is my job to get to know and understand you so that I can help you to achieve your therapy goals.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
We are all just humans in the world doing the best we can with the tools and resources we've got. Including me! I won't pretend to have all the answers, but I can promise that you will be seen and heard when you come for therapy with me. My belief is that feeling seen and connected to others is what all of us need to thrive. I am a White cisgender female and an immigrant to the United States from Ireland. I welcome clients of all races, ethnicities, cultural and religious backgrounds, genders and sexual identities. My goal is to continue learning ways to be an ally and a source of support to minorities of any type so that every person can feel fully included, respected and accepted for who they are.
