About My Clients
I work with adults on a wide variety of presenting concerns. I particularly enjoy working with folks experiencing life transitions and adjustments, exploring their identity, struggling with anxiety or depression, and family of origin or relationship concerns. I have expertise in working with young adults and college students, but enjoy working with adults of all ages as well.
My Background and Approach
I received my Masters and Doctorate degrees from Pacific University in Oregon and enjoyed working in diverse settings. Broadly, I utilize an integrated, client centered approach therapy, which means it is curated for each client's individual needs. More specifically, my approach is trauma informed, while incorporating aspects from humanistic therapy as well as acceptance and commitment therapy. I help clients understand their emotions, break unhelpful habits, and learn how to navigate painful experiences more effectively. This is done through a balance of skill building, mindfulness, exploration, and acceptance to work towards psychological flexibility.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I approach my work with all clients from a lens of individualized, client centered care and cultural awareness. I am constantly working personally and professionally to identify my own blind spots and challenge my biases. I have worked with many clients on these topics directly through identity exploration and processing trauma that has stemmed from systems of oppression. However, even when these are not the primary concerns for a client, I am always working to ensure I am considering all identities in the room and attending to diversity and cultural considerations as necessary. I try my best to ensure an affirmative space for all clients. In my free time I enjoy exploring the outdoors with my two rescue pups!
