About My Clients
People who are called to work with me are--and I say this with so much love!--the freaks & weirdos of the world--folks who feel like they don't really fit in. Spiritual explorers, and anyone interested in challenging cultural norms/the status quo. Those who are searching for a sense of connection and belonging, particularly through deepening their connection to their own bodies, the earth and our other-than-human kin.
My Background and Approach
My therapeutic practice is rooted in mindfulness meditation, deep ecology, ritual, sensory exploration, polyvagal theory, and pleasure awareness, and is wholeheartedly and unreservedly sex-positive, kink- and poly-/ENM-friendly. Born and raised in Northern California and Hawai’i, I call the oak savannah, redwood forests, fog and ocean my home. A devout sensualist and hedonist, I delight in the smell of the soil, the feel of water, sun and wind; I mark the passage of time by fruit and vegetables in their seasons, the Wheel of the Year, and the phases of the moon. Among my many identities, I am a neo-pagan of the Reclaiming tradition, a Buddhist, an organic gardener, a yogini, a Somatic Sex Educator (in training), and a Burner—rusty bike, booty shorts and all. A lifelong learner, I hold a MA in Integral Counseling Psychology for the California Institute for Integral Studies, a MA in Education from Stanford University, and a BA in Community Studies from UC Santa Cruz.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I hold the work that we do together as a kind of spiritual midwifery. My job is to support you as you bring all of the lost, rejected and abandoned parts of you together again, and breathe your true, authentic self back to life. I believe that a life of pleasure, play, rest, ease, connection and flow is our natural state and our birthright. In doing the deep and profound work of coming back to our wholeness and healing ourselves, we are committing quietly revolutionary acts of resistance against a culture that thrives on our spiritual fragmentation.
