About My Clients
I have over eleven years of experience working with adults, couples, and teens with different diagnosis such as anxiety, depression, parenting issues, first time moms, adjustment disorder, grief, childhood trauma, ADHD, crisis interventions, bipolar disorder, etc. My caseload consist of University of Chicago college students, high level professionals, couples, family duos and teenagers in high school. I used horticultural therapy (gardening) to help clients cope.
My Background and Approach
I have a bachelors in fine arts interior design, masters in community counseling, certificate in horticultural therapy and fitness. The approaches I used are as follows: CBT, DBT, Solution-focused, psychodynamic, REBT, Narrative therapy and talk therapy. I provide homework via worksheets, books, videos, etc. I have a really hands on approach with my clients. Building your tool box is important so you can having coping skills for a lifetime. I also use Horticultural therapy to help reduce client's mental health symptoms. Yup, we will grow and nurture plants together :).
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I value honesty and open feedback. I believe the client is the expert and I am here to guide them to the place they want to be. People just want to feel better and I like helping them make that happen.
