About My Clients

Do your obsessions and compulsions impact your daily life, leaving you feeling exhausted? Are you struggling to move past those challenging, or even traumatic experiences? I understand that living with the invisible burden of OCD, depression, anxiety, trauma, and even navigating life transitions can be an isolating and scary experience. You are not alone in how you are feeling. My top priority is for clients to feel comfortable working with me, and for you to see sustained positive change.

My Background and Approach

I have been in the mental health field for many years and received my Bachelor of Social Work and Master of Social Work from Colorado State University. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and have experience in providing therapy to infants, children, adolescents and adults of many gender identities, sexual orientations, races and cultural backgrounds. Through my work with these age ranges and different lived experiences, I discovered my passion for treating OCD, depression, anxiety and trauma with adolescents and adults. I have advanced training and experience in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which research has found are the gold standard of treatment for these mental health disorders. I also have experience and expertise in utilizing Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-Informed Care, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), CAMS Suicide Prevention and person-centered therapy approaches.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

In the past three years, the world has been through a collective trauma, which has open the eyes of many who had originally considered mental health care to be secondary. I feel that the brain is one of the most important organs in the body and that taking care of your mental health should be a priority, just as much as your physical health. As a teen, I went through challenging experiences and seeing a therapist. From my own experiences in therapy, I learned how to handle my emotions, use coping skills and have healthy relationships. This inspired me to pursue a career as a therapist because I believe everyone deserves to live the life they have envisioned for themselves and have meaningful relationships. I have made it my top priority to provide an empowering and compassionate environment for my clients by picking out their strengths and tailoring my approach to utilize these strengths as we work towards goals. No one should have struggle alone and now you no longer have to.
