About My Clients
I love working with motivated clients struggling with trauma, relationship conflict, identity issues, and family stressors.
My Background and Approach
I believe that at its roots, therapy is most of all meant to be a connective and corrective experience. I approach therapy with a psychodynamic framework, with particular curiosity about how our early childhood experiences influence who we are as people, as partners, as employees, and as parents. I take an emotion-focused approach to help my clients get in touch with their feelings and gradually build a deeper understanding of their challenges and strengths.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I was born and raised in the Silverlake neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. My family struggled emotionally and economically during much of my childhood and through that struggle, I became interested in examining the impact of hardship on people. I believe that humans have an innate capacity to heal, and therapy is a medium to unlock that capacity.
