About My Clients
I have been privileged to hear the stories of people who are diverse in culture, ethnicity, gender identity, age, sexual orientation, and socioeconomic status. I have also worked with individuals involved in the legal system as well as those experiencing homelessness. I love partnering in therapy with couples and those who want to process religious trauma.
My Background and Approach
I work from the foundational belief that humans make sense; while we all have different lenses formed by unique experiences, I can listen well to understand your perspective. To assist in this process, I strive to create a warm and empathic space where trust is earned. While we may all inevitably experience seasons of suffering throughout our lives, I hope to carry your burden with you so you don’t suffer alone. In my work with individuals, I often employ a relational psychodynamic modality, so I view the relationship between myself and the client as an important aspect of the therapy work (and ultimately, the healing process). With couples, I integrate developmental psychodynamic and EFT approaches to increase understanding, emotional engagement, and intimacy within the partnership.
