About My Clients

Do you take pride in being there for others, but end up putting yourself last? You often feel lonely and worry about being a burden, even to the people you’re closest to. You’re grateful for what you have in life, but you feel like something needs to change in order to really enjoy it. If this resonates with you, I can confidently tell you that it does not have to stay this way. In therapy together, we will create a safe space that will unlock greater self-acceptance and peace.

My Background and Approach

I delight in creating an atmosphere where clients can show up fully as themselves, honoring your story and celebrating your strengths. Your treatment will be tailored specifically for you, your personality and preferences. I provide inclusive, culturally attuned, and LGBTIA+ affirming treatment. I approach treatment using a strengths-based and trauma-informed lens. Many of the challenges we face reflect larger societal expectations, which I believe is crucial to incorporate in treatment, especially when addressing people pleasing, perfectionism, and body image. I have training in Emotionally Focused Therapy, Attachment Theory, Gottman Method Couples Therapy, Level 1 and 2, and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which I utilize to help client’s build more fulfilling relationships and become more emotionally regulated. I typically meet with clients on a weekly basis, especially in the beginning, and can possibly move to bi-weekly sessions if needed.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

As a therapist, I believe in being both an empathetic witness and an enthusiastic cheerleader for my clients. I value curiosity and exploration as tools to process emotion and heal, rather than judgement or binary thinking. As part of my own self care, you can find me rollerblading on the beach, practicing yoga, or laughing at a comedy show. I became a therapist out of my deeply rooted belief that we are never meant to navigate the challenges of life alone. Are you ready to get support during this difficult season, so you can live a more hopeful and fulfilling life? If so, I welcome you to contact me to schedule a free 15-minute consultation where I can answer your questions and we can see if we would be a good fit to work together.
