About My Clients

I understand that you are a fellow human being doing the best you can to thrive in a not-so-simple world with a not-so-simple brain. You may feel stuck, confused, and overwhelmed…but you are not broken. You do not need to be fixed. Your challenges are most likely a normal reaction to a difficult situation and tough societal expectations. I’m here as your ally, resource, and guide to help you better understand your story within the context of a complicated world.

My Background and Approach

I embrace the individuality, uniqueness, and exceptionalities of each person who starts their therapy journey. Over time, we’ll start to clarify what matters to you and pinpoint various thought patterns and behaviors that get in the way. Our sessions are time for you to receive support, education, and skills for issues that are most important to you. I am here as your guide to increased self-discovery. While I work with the entire age range, my specialty population is teens through young adults. I draw from several therapeutic approaches, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and other interpersonal and insight-oriented therapies. I also offer adult autism evaluations for those wondering, "Am I autistic?" My testing process is collaborative, streamlined, and affirming. These can be conducted in-person or over Zoom. Please visit my website for more information. I welcome you to reach out to see if we are a good fit.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

My values: Authenticity- Therapy provides the time and space for you to slow down and connect with your most genuine, authentic self. I will work with you to identify the life you want to live and empower you to stay true to yourself as you live it. Compassion- As humans, we can be our own worst enemy. The bullying and torment that our minds put us through can be relentless. Through therapy, we will practice acknowledging what’s hard, recognizing your own humanness, and treating yourself the way you might treat a good friend. Engagement-Do you ever tell yourself that you would like to be more engaged with the world around you? Through learning ways of observing, noticing, and simply being, you will discover how to live a richer, more gratifying life. Inclusion-I proudly serve trans, non-binary, and cisgender clients, individuals of all sexual orientations, clients of various abilities and neurotypes, and those from a wide array of cultural, ethnic, and racial backgrounds.
